Some sporadic journals of my train riding journeys.

Leavin tonight

Trying to concentrate on getting the last few things at work finished before I take off for the high iron. I'm planning to hit the KC train through Pueblo tonight, with the eventual destination being Nashville. If that train doesn't come, I will most likely catch the Z train to Chicago instead, then catch a hotshot down from Chicago through Evansville to Nashville. As out of the way as that is, it will be a faster ride than KC. But I am trying to re-teach myself the patience of the road, since it has been quite a while since I have had such a long time to ride.

I will try to update this blog when I can.

I awoke this morning with Anthony at 6:30. He left for work, and I finished packing. My pack is sitting by the door in my house, next to my boots with socks and ankle brace. 15 minutes after I arrive home tonight, I will be headed out the door to the light rail. A 2-mile walk from Union Station and I will be at the catch-out spot.

More later!
